Theatre Bristol Promoters

Inspired by the National Rural Touring Scheme Lighting The Touchpaper is a pilot project that empowers and supports people to promote high quality professional live performance in and for their local communities around Bristol.

Since Autumn 07 teams of promoters in Barton Hill, Easton, Knowle West and Lawrence Weston have presented touring theatre to approximately 500 people. Promoters have chosen to programme Fairground Theatre, Green Ginger, Gonzo Moose, Charlie Reid, Rogue Theatre, Tangere Arts & Theatre Absolute.

As well as support from Theatre Bristol the promoters have had opportunities to work alongside staff from Asian Arts Agency, Bristol Old Vic & Theatre Royal Bath.

Lighting The Touchpaper is coordinated by Jamie Luck who works 1 day a week.
